A vital tool for those who are not advanced audio engineers but just want to be able to record, edit and customize their audio files.
Their tech support was not able to help me with getting the old one back, however he did make the effort. I really liked the old version better after trying the new one. Cakewalk Pyro 2005I have had Pyro 1.5 for years and just loved it. When I installed this new Pyro 5, it stripped my registration code for Pyro 1.5 and disabled the mp3 conversion feature. I found a few glitches in Pyro 5, and now I can't use Pyro 1.5 anymore.
THEY GIVE YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR MONEY. AT LAST I FOUND A MUSIC SOFTWARE THAT I LIKE. I AM SO PLEASED WITH THIS SOFTWARE,IT IS EASY TO USE AND HAS EVERYTHING I NEED TO MANAGE MYPyro 5 (Standard) MUSIC. NOT ONLY THAT IT IS FUN TO USE.
But this is the new improved version for XP, and it has more new features than the older version. Some of the new features you may like, some you may not; but after you spend some time with this new version, I think you will be pleased with what it and you can do with your sound files.Yes, it will take a little getting used to some of the changes; but the results are worth the change. If you had the old Cakewalk Pyro for Windows 98, then you have some idea what this software will do. I'm still getting used to it, and learning new things that I couldnt do with the old version; but its worth the learning curve.
:->)Also as a note to anyone who owns a Sansa media player - this software claims to be compatible with most media players. That might work if you only have, say twenty or so folders, but I've copied my entire CD collection onto the ol' harddrive and I'm numbering in the hundreds. It doesn't work with my Sansa c250. Yeah, that's not going to happen. It isn't difficult to beat this one. (as an aside - anyone else remember the days when Dad yelled at you for copying a whole CD and taking up his whole harddrive.
Anyhow, If you're looking for a product to burn music CD's, I'm sure that there's a better product out there. i bought this program in hopes of be able to use it to burn music cd's and encourage my 11 year to be creative with some of his. The program makes it difficult to find the music on your computer, and if you're like me, and actually have stuff divided into folders by artist or category, you have to open each individual folder, copy the song you want on the CD and then go back to the main "my music" folder. Don't believe them.
